I am not done with The Love Dare...in fact I am living the dare at this very moment. I am lying in a hotel room remembering that The Love Dare is sitting on my nightstand right next to my bed...at home. It's OK though, because without The Love Dare I wouldn't be where I am right now.
Matt had to leave on a business trip...quite abruptly. It wasn't exactly the best time for Matt to leave...although I can't help but wonder if there ever really is a best time. Well, because my man loves me so, he asked me to come and stay with him for a couple of nights.
Um...my first thought was....NO. This is a pretty busy week. I won't rattle off my to do list as it may seem quite boring to those not living my life....but it's a long list.
Now typically, Matt would have received a very annoyed "no," over the phone, in a tone that said, "how dare you even ask such a thing...don't you know I'm busy, busy, dreadfully busy...much much too busy for you?" (Yeah...I threw in a Veggietales plug for all of you hard core Veggie fans!) However, because of The Love Dare my man heard a "yes." I won't say it was the most exciting "yes" that has ever come from my lips...but it was still a yes.
So here I am...lying in a hotel room in Reno while my man is off working...knowing my list is on hold for now...trusting that God will take care of the details.
The smile on Matt's face when he saw me made it all worth while. We had a great dinner and spent the rest of the evening playing games....no casinos needed.
In the grand scheme of things, your man is more important than your to-do list. :) But, you already know that....
